EV charging 101

You know your property. We bring the charging roadmap.

An EV charger is more than a plug. A useful site combines suitable electrical capacity, the right charging speed, safe installation, driver access, payment or free-use rules, and ongoing support.

Destination charging

Level 2

Best when vehicles stay parked for hours—overnight, through a workday or during a longer visit.

  • Hotels and campgrounds
  • Apartments and condos
  • Workplaces and long-stay parking
Lower power demand · practical overnight or dwell-time charging
DC

Rapid charging

Fast charging

Best where drivers need a shorter stop and the site can support higher power and project complexity.

  • Travel corridors
  • High-turnover public sites
  • Commercial fleet use cases
Higher power · faster sessions · more technical planning

Most destination properties do not need the fastest charger. The right answer depends on how long people park, available power, user expectations and your business model.

End-to-end coordination

From first question to everyday operation.

EasyEVgo serves as your principal project and operations interface, bringing the right specialist resources into each stage.

01

Discover

We learn who parks at your property, how long they stay, your goals, timing and budget.

02

Screen the site

We review parking layout, likely charger locations, user behaviour and the business case before technical design.

03

Shape the solution

We compare charger hardware, network options, access, pricing, connectivity and room for future expansion.

04

Coordinate delivery

We organize qualified suppliers, required specialists and Licensed Electrical Contractors around one project plan.

05

Commission

We coordinate equipment arrival, installation, network activation, pricing setup and handover.

06

Operate & support

We monitor station status, manage first-line issues and coordinate platform, warranty and field-service resources.

Clear responsibility matters

Electrical work is performed by Licensed Electrical Contractors. Engineering, civil work, utility work and specialized field repairs are completed by the appropriate qualified third parties when required. EasyEVgo coordinates the project and tracks the handoffs.

Built around real properties

Charging that fits how people already park.

We focus on practical use cases where charging supports the property experience and can be designed around actual dwell time.

01

Hospitality

Give guests a useful destination amenity and make longer stays easier.

02

Multi-residential

Plan shared charging that can grow with resident and tenant demand.

03

Commercial

Support visitors, employees or fleets with a managed charging experience.

04

Destinations

Add charging where drivers already stop: campgrounds, attractions and mixed-use properties.

Local focus, proven technical depth

A Canadian customer experience backed by operating know-how.

EasyEVgo is supported by Shanghai Qingxing Leyu, our parent company and technical support provider. Its team brings more than five years of charging operations experience, including 800+ chargers operated and 300+ chargers owned or under construction across East China.

That experience spans charging-hub planning, data-led operations, solar, battery storage, ultra-fast charging, V2G and battery swapping. For Canadian projects, we apply the relevant lessons to the needs, codes, partners and economics of each local site.

Why now in Canada

Demand support and infrastructure investment are moving together.

Public programs can strengthen the EV market and, in some cases, help eligible charging projects. Programs change, so every opportunity still needs a current eligibility check.

Driver demand

EV purchase support is active

Canada’s Electric Vehicle Affordability Program offers eligible buyers and businesses up to $5,000 on qualifying light-duty EVs in 2026, supporting continued growth in the vehicles that need places to charge.

Official federal overview

Infrastructure

Federal charging investment continues

Natural Resources Canada’s ZEVIP runs through 2027. Direct intakes and smaller-project delivery routes have different schedules and status, so funding should be assessed before a proposal relies on it.

Ontario

Public charging remains a provincial priority

Ontario’s ChargeON program supports public charging in communities. Its latest intake is closed, but the program signals continued provincial investment in a more connected public network.

Ontario installation basics

Permit. Licensed contractor. Certified equipment.

Ontario advises property owners to obtain the required ESA permit or notification, use a Licensed Electrical Contractor, and select equipment certified for use in Canada. We build these responsibilities into project coordination.

A practical first step

Tell us about your property—not your charger specs.

Start with your parking, users and goals. We can help frame the right questions, identify the next assessment and explain what a realistic project path could look like.
